Really good Stay!!!

amazing locationfriendly staffvery good housekeepingpoor air
The location is amazing. It is near the Gion district. The train station is very close to the hotel too. The staff were super friendly. They were very helpful. The customer service was excellent. I found the rooms magnificent and modern. The housekeeping was first class, paying attention to all the little details.
The air handling was very poor. The air was super dry. Even with the in-room humidifier turned on, I had a bloody nose .
Dining
9/10
The hotel provides complimentary drinks and snacks every evening. It was a pleasant surprise. There is a guest lounge with afternoon tea and a cocktail hour. Breakfast is served on a tray with a good selection.
Service
9/10
The staff were great! The housekeeping staff sent my watch to my next hotel overnight. Every interaction with hotel staff was positive. The staff's command of English was surprisingly poor.
Facilities
8/10
The location has convenient access to trains. There is a room with two washing machines. Their availability can be seen on your room TV. A japanese bath is available. I saw a broken meditation room with rusty air handling vents.
Rooms
9/10
The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfy. Rooms are modern, clean, and equipped with luxury toiletries. The layout of cheaper rooms is a bit less conventional. The light and window was through the shower. The room was excellently maintained and very clean.

charmed by really good amenities

subway proximityespresso machineexecutive loungegym absence
The hotel's proximity to the subway was convenient. It made exploring the city so easy. the espresso coffee machine in the room was a good touch. i especially loved having access to the executive lounge (the snacks were a welcome treat after a long day of sightseeing).
I was a little disappointed that the hotel lacked a gym and spa. I usually try to maintain my fitness routine while travelling.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast offered a standard but satisfying selection of items. I particularly enjoyed the local pastries. the free appetizers and unlimited drinks during cocktail hour were a fantastic bonus. the cakes sold in the reception area were amazing (i bought several to take home!).
Rooms

My room was spacious and always fresh, clean, and comfortable. the bed was large, providing ample space to stretch out and relax after a busy day. i appreciated the nice touch of luxury. The room provided a welcome retreat.

Decent Experience at a Popular Hotel

helpful staffconvenient locationbreakfast situationreservation requirement
The staff Were great for me. I left my airpods in a taxi the night before I was about to leave. I needed help communicating with the company so I asked the front desk. I went to them at 9am for help and they arranged for my airpods to be brought back and hand delivered to my room within an hour. The tran station WAS literally across the street which was convenient.
Breakfast situation was HORRIBLE. There was a sign that says 'it gets busy, don't come 9-10'. We are family of 5 with 3 kids and came at 7:30 prior to departure on Saturday. They said 'oh you need reservation. FOR BREAKFAST??!! I said 'where did you note that breakfast needs reservation? Your sign just said don't come 9-10' and they said oh sorry you need reservation.
